Nokia’s first Android smartphone- the Nokia 6- which made its debut last month exclusively in China via JD.com will soon make its landing in Taiwan. A Nokia phone with model number TA-1003 has cleared Taiwanese National Communications Commission (NCC) certification recently, to be precise on February 10th.
The news poured in via reliable leakster Roland Quandt’s Twitter website.
TA-1003 is one of the model numbers of Nokia 6, and it turned out that it corresponds to the international version. This means that we will see the international variant of the device going on sale in Taiwan.
The Nokia 6 features a 5.5 inch screen with full HD resolution wrapped in 2.5D Gorilla Glass. It packs in Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with an octa-core Cortex-A53, Adreno 505 GPU. The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. It has a 16MP phase detection auto focus rear camera and an 8MP front camera. On the software front, it comes with Android Nougat.
Already speculations are rife that HMD will release the international variant of Nokia 6 during the upcoming MWC. Therefore, it might be that immediately post the global launch, we will see the release of Nokia 6 in Taiwan.
