Meizu has been working on a new smartphone- the Meizu M5s- which has been under the rumor radar for quite a long time now. It also done the rounds of the certification sites TENAA, 3C and benchmarking site GeekBench. Also it has been spotted on Chinese microblogging site Weibo quite a few number of times with its spechseet and live images. And one again, it appears on Weibo with a 10W charger which indicates fast charging support.
Based on past leaks, we know Meizu M5s will come in two storage variants-2GB RAM/16GB ROM and 3GB RAM/32GB ROM. As per Slashleak, the 2GB RAM variant will come with the 10W charger while the premium model will carry a charger of 18W.
A week ago, live images of the affordable smartphone was leaked with the retail packaging box. In the leaked images, the box looks exactly the same as the box in today’s leak and the charger kept on top of the packaging also shows the Meizu brand written on it.
Other specs of the phone include, 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD Display with corning Gorilla Glass (720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 282 ppi), 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6753 chipset with octa-core Cortex A53 CPU, 3000mAH battery, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It will flaunt a 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper.
Meizu has scheduled an event on February 15 wher we hope to see the launch of this M5s smartphone. And oh, BTW, the leaked prices are 999 Yuan and 1199 Yuan for the base and premium model.
