Huawei launched the 2017 version of P8 Lite last month at the CES event as a successor to the original Huawei P8 Lite which was launched in 2015. The phone is in the news once again, but this time not as P8 Lite (2017) but as Nova Lite.
As per a new leak, Huawei will sell the P8 Lite (2017) in some countries under a different name- Nova Lite. Coming from a reliable leakster, Evan “@evleaks” Blass, the news stands chances to be true.
In fact, the image posted by the leakster showing a sales banner for both the P8 Lite (2017) and the Nova Lite, gives credit to the news. Both the banner, with different names, show the same phone with the same caption ‘Power without pause’.
We do not know in which regions of when Huawei plans to launch the P8 Lite (2017) under Nova Lite name. But we do know that the phone is already up for grabs in the UK and Europe under the original name. Therefore, it is likely that markets which are awaiting the release of the phone may get it under the new name.
The mid-range smartphone ports a 5.2-inch HD IPS display. Under the hood, it carries its own octa-core Kirin 655 chipset paired with a Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. There’s 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal memory.
On the imaging front, it features a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Power comes courtesy a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
